Re: Replacing leaky oil cooler lines

Getting some progress going on this, not nearly as quick as I hoped but the plan now is to keep the stock radiator and oil adapter fittings (don't have much choice) along with about 3" on each end of the flared aluminum tubing, get those high quality compression fittings and connect to 3/8"...

Re: Replacing leaky oil cooler lines

Here is the fittings I used. I am pretty sure the lines are 3/8". You would have to measure them to be sure. These are the absolutely best compression fitting you can buy. It is all we use in our plant. Will these work to completely remove the stock tubing with the o-ring ends? These stock com...

Re: which oil is best for my engine v6

I had always used Valvoline 10w30 Extended Life Synthetic Blend and never had any problems at all untill I used Castrol non synthetic 10w30 the last oil change. Now I have a leaky oil cooler line, leaking air filter adapter, and a slight leak in the oil pan below the timing chain cover. I will never...

Replacing leaky oil cooler lines

I was checking out my van yesterday when I noticed one of the rubber hoses had what looked like oil on it, so I investigated and found one of the oil cooler lines leaking at the compression fitting, it also looks like the filter adapter to block is leaking at the gasket/o-ring, and there is possibly...

Re: Need help with intake/injectors

I cleaned it up pretty well with some carb cleaner, and ruined the new sink in the process...oops at least the intake is clean. I'm hoping the SeaFoam really is as good is I've heard, think I'll switch back to 93 octane gas for a few weeks then try the emissions test again.

Re: Lifted Van Pics...

My 95' has an Overland 2" body lift, 2"+ leaf springs in the back and 1.5"+ coils in the front. It also has Hellwig front and rear sway bars, Rancho RS5000 shocks, and Overland's shock relocation kit. The biggest tires I could get on it without much trimming were Bridgestone Duelers A...

Re: Need help with intake/injectors

I'm just gonna put some SeaFoam in the air intake tomorrow and switch back to the 93 octane gas for awhile before the emissions retake test

Re: I need your guy's help with rough idle issue

Had a similar problem with my 95'. Had just replaced the Cat and it all of a sudden started idling so rough it sounded like it would stall, and it did a few times. Took it to 3 different shops, replaced the spider, checked just about everything fuel or emissions related and still no fix. the last sh...

Need help with intake/injectors

I was a little bored today and figured since my van failed emissions last Saturday that I would take a look at my van's intake manifold and all that junk. I got off the manifold and was a bit surprised to see how dirty it really was in there. I had my injector assembly replaced about 2 years ago and...

Re: Auburn or Eaton posi?

I know that you can change to different gear ratios for better performance but would it be bad to just leave the stock one's in if I put installed the posi? I don't think I'm ready for that big of a project yet 8-[

Auburn or Eaton posi?

Unfortunately I'm stuck with RWD in my van and we all know they don't do too good during the winter months. I've already got some good tires for snow and now am looking to improve the van's snow/ice abilities without making it miserable to drive in normal highway conditions. I was looking at the Eat...

I didn't know tamiya manufactured a astro model.
Oops I mean Fujimi, and it's too small of a scale to use anyways.

Re: JBA 4.3l Headers

Got em in yesterday and guess what?! Theyre for a V8, and even if they were for a V6 you were right saying there would be problems lining them up with the Y-pipe because the headers wouldnt go anywhere near it.

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l

Does anyone know if this guy still has the few extra sets of headers he mentioned, or if anyone else has them to sell? That would be awsome if they were still available

Re: Dynomax Headers for 4.3l

I think I'm sticking with the 4.3 untill it needs to be replaced, it would be near impossible to do a V8 swap for quite some time unless I paid someone to do it for me.
