Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Got one of the trans coolers mounted up on my 2000. I forgot to take my camera, this is the best my cell phone could do.

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Picked up a Transgo shift kit for my 2000 to hopefully fix it's very hard 1st-2nd shift. Ordered all of the fittings i need from Summit to get the trans cooler plumed. I wanted to avoid using any hoses and do it with all steel lines but i just said the hell with it when i realized the cooler uses 5/...

Re: Radial Engine powered Car
I've been on his website for a few hours now. Looks like just about everything on the car is made by hand.
Such a huge amount of work went into the car I'm kind of surprised they didn't go with something a little more "flashy".

Radial Engine powered Car
I stumbled onto this car on youtube. Some really nice design and machine work involved, shown really well in the third video. Can you embed youtube videos here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2V7B7-gdRA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEKyu5xN6ik http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNe2zcfdwwA http://www...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Put a new Delco blower resistor in my 95, nice to have all the fan speeds now. Then spent some time at the local u-pull-it. Got two big trans coolers off some full-size Ford trucks for $12 a piece. My plan is to get one mounted up for each van. I grabbed a couple of those dash switches for the 00, m...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Swapped the really old looking battery in my 2000 for a newer more powerful one i put in my girlfriend's car last year.
Fooled with the power door lock solenoid for the rear doors on the 95. It's working better but not great yet.

Re: Hard 1st-2nd shift
Does it tend to do it more when hot? Mine used to do it when it got hot. A large trans cooler and synthetic will help. I know you currently have synthetic but it is due for a change sounds like. I would think a newer VB would fit with no issues. After reading the sticky last night i payed a lot mor...

Re: Hard 1st-2nd shift
It shifts REALLY hard. It's hard enough that if i don't do something about it it will eventually break something in the driveline. Sometime after i started the topic i noticed the sticky in this section that sounds like the exact same problem I'm having. http://astrosafarivans.org/bb2/viewtopic.php?...
