Re: AC not blowing through upper vents

I tried to upload the pictures of the "old factory" hose, but this is the message I received...

Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

So, I will have to find an online photo hosting site to upload and link it to.

Re: AC not blowing through upper vents

Mom's feet were getting cold....so last night I went out to check out this "Mysterious" vacuum hose issue. I started under the hood by the passenger side and found the thin black plastic hose going into the engine area. With little or no effort, I was holding a piece of the hose. I opened ...

Re: Project Ole Yellar

Looks like Ole Yellar will be real sweet when you get it back together. Keep us updated on the progress.... we are excited to see it come together; that is after all the hard work of tearing it down is over! :bounce:

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Fired up mama's 01 Astro AWD and headed up to Denver this afternoon. Ran into a little snow; more will come tonight and on Sunday. So, we decided to take the car trailer up in the sleet..... I towed my 57 Chevy 4dr HT home in march and hit icy roads. Kept it straight and we made it home safe. Car an...

Re: New Member From Colorado

Ron,

I took the plunge and looked at the link.....good thing I am color blind to blue! Didn't see Peter's AWESOME rig! Never seen an ASV motor swap; reminds me of doing bugs, but the other end comes up. (PS, I'm not color blind and I was impressed with Peter's van) :) \:D/

Re: AC not blowing through upper vents

Rob, Thanks for starting this thread..... Today, the wife dropped me off at work (don't go there) :) and she said her heater/AC controls weren't working. The fan speed was changing, but the air mainly came out the defrost vent. I will have to get the part listed above and put it in. Got to love expe...

Re: New Member From Colorado

LiftedAWSAstro, I love your camping counter for 2009. For the 350 swap, are people going with carbs? Plus, will the v-6 transfer handle granny driving? Aron, Good luck on the LHS, we are getting snow this weekend. Rebel, Looks like you spent enough bucks for the both of us. If you have some extra, I...

Re: New Member From Colorado

smilesafari, Thanks for the words of encouragement and the offer of support to install the v-8. I am trying to clean out my fix and sell projects and start working on my 57 Chevies. So I don't know if I want to commit to the added project. Sounds fun, looks fun and I can see my Astro up a few inches...

Re: New Member From Colorado

Aaron, Does the V-8 require oil? HA Not sure I want to take on that big of a project. I have 3 57 Chevies and a toyota Tercel SR5 wagon is my "Off-Road" vehicle for now. Soon as I get the pistons in...I will slap the motor together, pull the old one and YES, I will be sure to add oil! I've...

New Member From Colorado

Hi everyone. New to the site, not new to Astros or online forums. I normally hang my hat at trifive.com. My newest projects are 57 Chevrolets. We bought our first Astro AWD back in 98. It was a 97 lease return with less than 20K miles on it. The kids were getting bigger so we needed to get out of th...
