pics of new headlights/taillights/signal lenses
all were purchased on eBay, quality was good to real good but not OEM quality, fittment was a little bit of a pain but overall I'm happy with the outcome. I'm not even sure what made me get them besides the yellowing plastic lenses that really bug me next to the crystal clear glass headlights, and t...

Re: Pics of my 2in lift on a 1999 Government Fleet Vehicle
I got my trim rings from: http://www.autodetailcompany.com. They were polished stainless. Shipped to my door for $54.27. One of the trim rings had a small defect. I e-mailed them and they sent me another one free of any charge. That's good PR. \:D/ Thanks for the link, I've been trying to source a ...

Junkyard hitch ID
didn't find much info on draw-tite's website, all the hitches look a little different than this one. I pulled the hitch from gen1 ext cargo, all the bolt holes appear to match up on my 1999 passenger van, trying to figure out what class it is http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/7026/dsc01411mw.jpg ht...

Re: Pics of my 2in lift on a 1999 Government Fleet Vehicle
Tires were $116 each on sale, and let me tell you, they are really quiet! Hardly any more noise than the passenger tires that were on it, they are a bit soft in the sidewalls, I think I need to air them up a bit more, and I've been looking for trim rings that'll fit I can only seem to find deep 3in ...

Pics of my 2in lift on a 1999 Government Fleet Vehicle
Finally got the tires, lift and shocks in. Tires are 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac's, rims are stock steelies I painted and modified some chrome center caps to fit, lift is a standard Overland Vans 2 inch lift, with bumper brackets, and shocks are Rancho RS500's I didn't do a tutorial since t...

Re: PCM and tire size
Exactly, but there's also a convenience factor involved, since it appears to a plug and play item, also with it being adjustable, you could also revert back to stock settings say if you had different tire sizes for summer/winter. And if you ever sold the van you can just remove it and sell it. How m...

Re: PCM and tire size
what about this from jet performance? The description sounds like it's what your looking for, but at a price of $189.95 LaGrasta here on the forum pointed me to this unit when I was doing my own research on driveablity after a lift and larger tires. Summit also sells them on eBay at $149 SCU 2000 Pa...

Re: Volant + Granteli MAF
Nope, it's a whole unit calibrated for 4.3 astro with cold air intake, since my last post I've removed it cleaned it with MAF cleaner, problem still persists, then SES light came on, threw codes P0171 & P0174 - too lean bank 1 & 2, so I'm stumped now, either MAF is bad or maybe a vaccuum lea...

Volant + Granteli MAF
Just recently installed both in the astro, installation went as planned except I had to use a coupler for the Granateli MAF because of the larger bore in and out tubes, I disconnected the battery to reset the computer so it could adjust to the new parts. Upon startup it has an erratic high/low idle ...

Re: DIY painting wheels/new wheels for $55.99
They'll probably look a little better with trim rings, but for the price, I think it looks better than stock, it's pretty hard to make the stock steelies look any different than what they are. I played around with possibly doing the outer rim edge in a light metallic silver or black and keeping the ...

How to get 4.11's in a G80?
Looking into this upgrade after a lift and larger tires, I have G80 3.43's in a 2wd now and just wondering if it's as easy as getting the gears from Randy's R&P, then getting them installed at a resputable shop? I've had absolutely zero luck finding any GT4 or GT5 rear ends in any of my local ju...
