I replace the front washer pump (from a 94 astro at the wreckers) which looked the same. All is well not pump motor assembly required. I'm sorry, but I think I'm too far south from Markham, ON to understand what he said. Can someone translate for me please? Hmmm...how far south. OK Let me expand on...

M~ Those I pulled when I recently did a tune up. At that time I also installed a new cap and rotor. As well as new Hi-output coil and 8.5mm wires. Those are the correct AcDelco plugs as per the book. As others have mentioned, it could be the tensioner and/or pulley. Noises are not all that hard to track down. Another tool is a long bladed screwdriver to test for sound.

Are you using a stock s-belt or the cut s-belt (Gatorback type)?
