My son's super duper modified 91 Camero had intermittant ignition problems. Turned out to be the pickup coil for the magnetic star. Mainly would stop running when it got hot. Would start almost everytime when cold.

Keep us posted......

I haven't seen an two-wheelers out here for a week. We've been setting record lows. It was 22* Easter morning at 5:30am. Hey, Al Gore, global warming? Last week, the two-wheelers were all over the place with recording highs in the 80's. The biggest thing, on two-wheels, that I've every ridden was 50...

Update.

The dash voltmeter is about 1-1.5 needle widths up to the +.
The AM radio is still basically the same (ignition and other noise). Guess I'll try and replace the antenna next.

I've got one, but a different brand. I tried to use it to start my 93 Astro. Did not work. Called the manufacturer and asked why. It will NOT work on a totally dead battery. There has to be something there for it to "see". The 93 was totally dead. Ended up using my battery charger to give ...

I agree, real nice and clean. I kinda prefer simple and neat and clean. It doesn't require an all day wash to make it look nice. Just a quickie with the hose.

There is the "proper" way and then there is the "so-so" way. I know I didn't follow the various posted "Big 3" how-to's to the T, but hey I think I'm pretty close.

Need to have something to work on beside the wifey's to do list.

Idling problems > Idle air control?

At stop lights the idling was so bad that I usually kicked her into N. Sometimes I would get the SES light. Coding was "rich". Asked around and figured it was the Idle Air Contol (IAC). Bought a new AcDelco unit. The old IAC was indeed dirty on the "needle". I could have cleaned ...

OK Removed the tire jack interior cover panel. Removed the panel that has the bucket with the drain in it. This has 2 bolts, with 1/2" heads, from inside the bucket. An air ratchet works best. There are 4 tiny screws that hold the trim strip by its upper edge. The screw head is 9/32. The 5th sc...

Front lower air-flow flap

This is that rubberized sheet that is attached to the greyish trim that the fog lights poke thru. The trailing edge has not been screwwed to anything for a long time. It was sorta fastened with zip tys to the sway bar. Well, some days ago it was just flapping in the wind because the zip tys came loo...
