Re: ScanGuage II on Princess

I have 2 scangauges and 3 cables. I researched and this unit gives the mostest for the leastest. Other auto forums also give it a thumbs up. I have not seen any real negatives about this unit. And it is the only one that gives you 4 independent instantaneous readings. Gotta go to their website. http...

Re: Transmission Cooler

words to the wise about the separation from the condensor. I just blocked mine out another inch to get it further away from the condensor. Aside from damage, it will transfer heat into the condensor reducing the efficiency of the system. It made a difference, I just road tested it for 188 miles in ...

Re: Transmission Cooler

For those of you above the Mason-Dixie line........ # Tru-Cool self-regulating coolers - it is the oil that regulates the cooler. # Thicker oil that is below the ideal operating temperature bypasses the cooler through the upper two plates. When the temperature rises, it becomes thin enough to pass t...

Why men don't...

Why Men Don't Write Advice Columns Dear Walter: I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get ...

Re: door pins & bushings

Not a bad idea using the hose clamp to keep spring compressed. I'd be sure to use the stainless clamps like you did and not the cheap aluminum ones. I'm sure they would probably strip and allow spring to be launched across the garage. When I first posted that spring pic, I got busted pretty hard (b...

kings-x59 wrote:good post Waterboy. Did you replace one pin at a time, or did you pull both and install the new pins?
I think I did both apart.

Since I did that ....
I've drank beer....
I've drank coffee....
I've had sex....
So I'm not real sure now but I think it was one at a time for safety reasons.

Re: Transmission Cooler

There are plate coolers that have a built-in temp regulator.
At low temps, the fluid bypasses most of the plates.
At higher temps the fluid passes thru all plates.
