Sliding Door Frozen Shut Will Not Open

Tried doing a search and didn't find anything so I'm asking the question here.. It was a balmy 3C on Sunday here with lots of rain and well Sunday night everything turned to ice including my van. All of the doors were frozen shut, I managed to get all of them open except for the sliding do...

Grover is now armed!

Haven't been on the forum much because I haven't had much to say. Now I do lol Had the front rotors replaced under warranty a couple of weeks ago, that put an end to the nasty vibration in the steering wheel. Still have a bit of a vibration coming down from highway speed, I think the front u- joint ...

The maiden voyage

Well I took my name sake on it's first highway run into Toronto yesterday with a load for my buyer. I ran into heavy traffic on the 403 and QEW so I wasn't able to go 100km. Thought great the van is working pretty good. Get to Toronto unload the van and after a quick stop for coffee I headed for the...

Re: My "new" Safari is almost legal!

:bounce: :bounce: Finally! My Safari is finally road worthy... got the safety certificate for it yesterday and the plates went on about 2pm. I'm having a hard time getting used to the fuel mileage on it.. I put $5 in it yesterday and have gone all over hell's creation. What a difference compared to ...

Re: My Safari

Hey there! I was looking at your front end pics.. was your rad support bolted in or welded in originally from the factory? Mine's a 95 and it was a royal PITA to remove and reinstall and my buddy was telling he did a S10 but it was simply bolted in. Of course mine was welded in... curious minds want...

Re: My "new" Safari is almost legal!

Well I probably could have done it myself, but I don't have the proper tool to remove the door trim  The mirror isn't broken it just looks that way.. the little piece you are talking about it's in the van, I lost the screws for it ( gotta open the door to attach it) going to the wreckers to...

My van rolled out of the shop yesterday woohoo!

 Finally after 3 weeks of swearing, cursing and snafu's finally got my van put back together yesterday. I still have some minor issues to deal with, but they can wait for now until I earn some more $$. The body guy who welded in the rad support gave me a HUGE break on the price, mainly because...

Update on my van...

Well this is turning out to be quite the exercise! Thanks to this forum I was prepared as to what to expect putting in another rad support, I told my buddy that there is a good possibility the front end may have sagged after we took out the old one.. he said " naw, a couple of days won't hurt i...

Yup it's a 95, the "new" rad support is from a 98 I think.. if I ever need a rad I will be sure to look for one with a drain valve [-o<

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Hmmm.. drained the rad yesterday, took it out, took the battery out and the WWF bottle.. hopefully today it goes back together! :bounce:

Oh ya whoever designed the rad at GM should be tarred and feathered.. how come there is no drain valve on these rads??
