It sure looks like the glove box light wire. I just had my light switch out lubricating it so when you opened the compartment the pin that rests on the door wouldn't stick. It's a 2 wire because you need the ground.

I'm sure someone can help me here with a quick question. I driving a 97 Safari AWD and I also just retired my 94 Safari AWD. I broke down and did it !!! I couldn't remember how to change the time on the radio and did the unthinkable , I got out the owners manuel and read it. LOL there is a lot of good information in there !!

When the light switch is turned to the first on position, you should get both front and rear parking or running lights. This includes the tail lights. The DRL's should go out as well if I remember correctly. When the switch is turned to the second on position the running lights as well as head ligh...

I see now that you checked those wires but something else I noticed on mine was that when it happened , when you left the key switch to run the DRL's didn't work and also the radio if I remember correctl.

I has a similar problem but wasn't tempature related . Mine just every once in a while would roll over but not start and do it just when you didn't want it too.
