Re: I got no heat!?!?!?
You guys rock! I started it up, backed it out of the driveway and accelerated to about 20mph. Didn't even make it 50 yards before a wave of heat came blasting out the vents. I knew it had to be something simple that I was missing. Just too tired tonight to figure it out I guess. WooHoo!! Thanks agai...

I got no heat!?!?!?
Yeah it's summer time I know.... The water pump just took a crap. I replaced it, the upper and lower radiator hoses and the heater control valve. Started it up to check for leaks and burp the system. Turned the heater on to full blast and let it run. The van warmed up, the thermostat opened, I added...

Re: Air compressor R.I.P?!?!?!?!!?!?.........
Mine was a Craftsman and was almost 15 years old when it died. The motor alone was a $250 part from Sears. I sold the old one for $75 via Craigslist. You might think about doing that to recoup some of the money you spent on the new one.

Just had the same thing happen to mine earlier this year. The high speed windings in the motor is what I was told. Sorry Dude.

Re: upper rad hose sucked flat.. what the..?
Sounds to me like the water pump may be running in reverse causing that hose to collapse. I seem to recall that for the SBC, and I would assume the 4.3 V6 as well, there are two different style of water pumps. One made for v-belt pulleys and one made for the single belts. The run in opposite directi...

Re: Astro stutters and loses power...
Change that filter first, then test your fuel pressure. 9-13psi is needed for VNI Z vans, at least I think 59 for VIN W.

Re: Quote of the day: "Why are the headers glowing?"
14psi is too high for TBI motors if it is all stock. 9-13psi max according to GM. Have you tried backing it down to say 11-12psi to see what happens?
