Re: T.B.I.
I did mine once using a gallon can of carb cleaner. I got it at one of the chain parts stores. Took the TBI unit apart, and soaked it overnight. Then cleaned it up with several cans of spray carb cleaner and assembled with the kit mentioned above.

You will have to do what I did. Get one for a 96+ along with the b-pillar trim for both.

Re: Another gas thread.... sorta... ethanol questions.
+1 to lower mileage with ethanol. For years we drove from KS to NE. Whenever I was in NE I would fill up, always with E-10 because it was cheaper, before heading back to KS. Always lower mileage going back to KS. Now I live in NE, and am just stuck with lower mileage using ethanol.

Re: $4?! No Way. Time To Stick It to OPEC
It's not necessarily about milage or money. It's about reducing oil usage and keeping what we have. That said, one reason the E-85 vehicles get such crappy milage is that the engines use a compression ratio that would still safely burn octane. But at what cost? Keeping what we have means keeping mo...

Re: $4?! No Way. Time To Stick It to OPEC
Well.... What you make up in a cost savings per gallon, you loose in fuel mileage so it's really a wash, if not more costly to run E-85...

Buy the best you can afford. I know that doesn't help much as far as brand selection goes...
But your life is at the mercy of your brakes. Do you really want to skimp on $$$ there?

Re: Unsticking a caliper?
I think I found the problem. Looks like I need to tighten the bleeder screw on the right side. Looks like I have a slight leak there.
I'll get that tightened up tonight and report back!

Re: Unsticking a caliper?
Well the new parts are in place. New calipers, pads and hoses. Several hard stops from 60mph later and I don't feel any shudder or wobbles. So I think I am lucky and the rotors are OK. However, I do have a slight tug to the left.... Where should I be looking to correct this??? I'm thinking I'll blee...

Re: Unsticking a caliper?
The hoses are less than a year old. Do you guys really think they could go bad in that short of time???
I will be bleeding the whole system when I replace the calipers.

Unsticking a caliper?
All, wife.com said the van was doing some scary things today... Shaking at 45-70mph and touch of the brakes sent it veering to the left.... I drove it around the block. It turned hard right as soon as I let go of the wheel... Hmmm... So I take a look at the right front. Sure enough the caliper is st...

Re: fuel pump upgrade
Put that big pump in place and you probably will not be able to crank your pressure low enough to get the van to run decent. You might consider a pump for an LT1 powered B-body(Caprice, Roadmaster etc.). These cars all run around 55-60psi. I run one in my 89 9C1 with an adjustable FPR. When I replac...
