Mine only whines when in gear.

sounds just about like my old ragged dakota when the power steering fluid is low...

filter changed.. Whine noise still there.. technician said the filter was very heavy and quite a bit of stuff in the pan... SHIFTS GREAT.... Im gonna drive it till it pukes.. :) :)

my 1999 2wd astro has a new whine. SOUNDS LIKE a powersteering pump thats low on oil.. but it only makes the whine when in gear. and it gets some what louder when I drive off. only been doing it a few days. checked it today to find that its not the power steering. it has 156000 miles. IF ive run out of gas 10 times in my 62 years, 7 have been in my 1999 ASTO. The Gauge LIES. The Miles left in the tank meter LIES.. Mine will hold 24 gallons ABSOULUTELY OUT OF GAS. I use the Odometer to keep up with when I should refill. if its past 300 miles I fill up. BUT, if im towing something ...

Has anyone tried the Hellwig 550 kit or the Hellwig 815 kit?????? the 550 adds 550 lbs of weight capacity. the 815 kit adds 1500 lbs. both are simple bolt on with out dissassembling anything. very affordable at $65.00 or $87.00. looks like simple do it yourself addition. Im not trying to "LIFT&...

NEW to this forum. my 99 seven passenger 2wd has a Saggy butt. My friend has the same vehicle and it sets 3-4 inches higher at the step bumper. His looks SLIGHTLY jacked up in the rear. Maybe 1" higher in the rear (at the rear wheel opening) than the front. My astro sets down in the rear.... th...
