Well i got some time to do the research. I won't have money to have it done for a while. and the time is a stickler here. I can't do it at home (not allowed). and i don't have another vehicle while i use our auto shop. (do it yourself. But proper shop with tools lifts etc.) Anyone think it could be ...

ok sorry. i am seriously on crack here. i only have 130k mi not 230. don't knw what i was thinking there. sorry.

But. still.. same on the burnt brown fluid then???

anyother advice.

Worth it to do the rebuild/maintainence myself or .....

what peices would need to be replaced for sure..

ok so the 'puter has thrown a p-1870. transmission component slipping. And the 1-2 shift is like a boot in the butt. especially when the gas is on. but only when hot. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor.... 2hrs Oil change.... 20 minutes chit chat ..... the rest of it.. went in through the wheel wells for all the plug. a bit of a pain but better than through the doghouse. Finally have my new wheels on.. (Pic to come later) I wanted to take pics of the whole procedure but...

Measure the bolt pattern. If it is 5 x 5" it will be for an Astro or Safari 99% of the time.

I guess after the crazy headaches i had searching for used wheels (round my area) i should figure that...

Kudos to discount tire. I brought up the lower price on the cragers at summit. Gave them a print out of the online card with the product (with shipping calculated). And... They have already refunded the difference. Kewl..

soon i will have to take it apart and see whats under there. I am thinking a bit of wledng and proper painting under the plastic to fix.


then again i have been thinking about doing the running boards too.
