Re: new wheels

I went out this morning and put a tape measure on the new tires and old tires. They both measure in at 29 inches, so all should be good! Just a trick of the eye I guess.

Re: new wheels

Well I picked up the new wheels and tires today and I think they look great! I ordered the tires in a 235/65/17 Which are supposed to be the exact same size as my 235/75/15, but as you can see they appear to be much larger! oh no! I'm thinking there gonna rub. I realize that the van is weighing down...

Re: s10 unlocking axle

Any idea how much preload there is? For instance, can it be overcome using just your hands? I just found a partial answer to this (http://www.rsgear.com/technical/articles/2007_12.pdf) There is 100lbs of preload on the clutch, but what that translates to in terms of torque will depend on how much f...

Re: new wheels

Well persistence pays off some times. After a lengthy internet battle with tire and wheel combos I had settled on the eagle 140 wheel and toyo open country a/t . As I had stated, the buy US deal was going to be 1500. This didn't sit well with me as I really do like to support local business. I print...

I had to go back out and look. My van is a 99 and the black in between the windows is a decal for sure. You can clearly see the overlap and crooked edges of the decal

Re: How to upgrade over head console

I tried to install the overhead display this weekend. I pulled the display out of a 2001 blazer, It has the mode button. I got it home and started searching for the " fingers crossed " existing wires in the headliner. They where there! bonus. Now the first hiccup, It turns out that there i...
