Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

I changed my fuel pump cause my van told me to ( in the form of not starting ) absolutely full to the brim with fuel! After wasting about an hour trying to figure out any way to short cut this job, I rolled up my sleeves and did it right. It took me 3 hours ( not including the first wasted hour ) I ...

Re: Homebrew Con-Ferr Style Porthole Roof Rack Build

Nice work so far! If you are thinking about a bandsaw I would recommend going with a hand held portable one. Then make your own stand. It works great as a vertical bandsaw, and can be easily removed and used portable. I built mine a little larger and floor mounted it, but then I have the space. The ...

Re: Rough road roof rack, what NOT to do

Seriously I have so much 16 ga crop around it is no problem. I can punch whatever size hole you need cleanly without warping. It is galvanized coated ( not that flakey stuff, the dull grey ) If you need corner pieces , 6x12 two holes? I can do those too. however many you want to pay to ship.

slide in camper van conversion

I saw a video linked to, on here somewhere, I'm sure it was one this site ( I do not frequent the other site ) It was of a couple installing a slide in camper unit in their van. It was a euro video. They pulled it out of their garage and slide it in. I am at wits end trying to find this video. A fri...

Re: Rough road roof rack, what NOT to do

EDIT: OUCH! They want another $50 to make a few more cuts! What a rip-off. Wow! I'm clearly not charging enough. 50 bucks for 6 cuts, crazy! That would be under a minute of extra cut time. for 50 bucks I would shear strips for an hour. Tell you what actually... 6x6 with how big of a hole? I have a t...

Thanks! I really like the look too. I've been looking for any reason To go and drive it. I see a lot of eyes pointed at the van. I love it when I pull up to the lights beside a stock astro/safari and get the double take.

You also diverted something from going to waste. If more things could be reused, we wouldn't have to import so much cheap mass produced crap to fill up the landfills with. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_2HCOIRT3Nms/TaC37jH_b9I/AAAAAAAAMbc/pdiNFblAoUI/s800/treehug.gif I hate throwing stuff away!...

Re: The best things in life are free!

Yesterday I picked up a 2" receiver, hidden hitch with 7 way plug attached. Great condition with little rust. Not at all sure what it is off, but for free it can be modified to fit anything.
