ha ha, i hope you aren't refering to the lack of "vans" in that sentence, cuz i even thought about that when i wrote that. but i'll go edit it just for everyone. lol

well my problem turned out to be a bad solenoid. easy enought to fix.

BUT......she broke the driver's side handle. which i just replaced in the spring. now i have to dish out another $50 to napa to buy another one. i'm gonna have to get another van just for her. she's too hard on my baby. ](*,)

i just went through this one. my van was doing what u described, i took it off-tested the starter itself, and it was fine. tested the solenoid, it was bad. new starter= $165 new solenoid= $24 this was one i actually got away with a somewhat simple fix. laying in the snow to change it wasn't very muc...

i'm at my wits end. this is what i have done thus far: checked new plugs-burning evenly replaced maf replaced tps checked fuel pressure- not sure about the regulator though. it seems to hold pressure for approx 20min. replaced dizzy did the seafoam thing tried injector cleaner can't find any vaccum ...

geeeeeeeeeeez, i never thought of that-DUH

to make a long and cold story short, i took the starter off last evening, in the snow and darkness. i broke the smaller stud right off the starter trying to wrestle it off. so- either way i need a starter. i just hope that was my problem.

it could very well be in the front. i'll definitly check the front of the engine first. i hope it's as simple as that. i'm googling the location of the strap right now ,,,,,, :bounce:

wife went to leave for work today, got in the van and no go. as in no power to the starter no go. well, could be power to the starter, but either way it ain't turnin' over. i tried beating on the starter..no good. when she gets home i'll have to get her to turn the key as i'm banging. i didn't think...

i guess i'll just take a look at the fuse, if that isn't fried, then i'll have to pull the blower motor connector and check it for power.

so the other day my wife complained of the blower motor in the van making noise. actually, it has been an issue for a while now. just one of those things. either way, it died. she said she could smell burning then the fan stopped. so did the motor totally 100% finally give up and burnt out, or do ya...
