Re: HELP- roof leak!!!!!

Mine had rusted just enough that there was nothing for the screws to bite into anymore, there by causing the leak. You can re...

Re: HELP- roof leak!!!!!

I just recently diagnosed my roof leak. It turned out to be the screws from the roof racks. The repair consisted of some stainless bolts and washers with lots of silicone through the holes. The rack is solid plus the van is nice and dry.

Your van looks awesome. =D> I,m sure it handles the logging roads beautifully. Have you checked out the Walbran/ Carmanah valleys? Both are nice parks.
I'm a regular at island4x4 as well, great site with a good crowd.

That's brilliant. :prayer: I'd like to see the front anchor point. Did you beef up the rear door latch?

Re: Tell me your empty tank stories!

I've run out of gas one time, it was early in the morning on my way to work. I was working late nights and putting in lots of hours. Its amazing what you don't notice when you are tired. Pretty uneventful, I just called the shop and had a couple gallons delivered in 15 minutes.

What's going to happen to the Salmon Kings now that the Chiliwak Bruins are moving there? Are they moving or can the city support two teams?

Cheers.

Update.... I just learned today that the Salmon Kings played their last game for Victoria last night. I'm not sure where they are going to.

Camping in the old growth forest.

Took the van out to the local campground on the weekend. Good times and great weather.

Pretty big trees, not the biggest I've seen but about 5 to 6 hundred year old fir.

Re: camping recipes

Instead of roasting marshmallows on the stick, I like to roast bite sized chunks of pepperoni over the fire. Mmmmmmm. Good. =P~

Re: New to me Astro.

I'm not positive but I think we are keeping both hockey teams. At certain times of year you can catch a view of Grey and Orca whales on their way to the feeding grounds near the San Juan islands. This really is a beautiful part of the world. Now the Cowichan valley is even more of a paradise, its pa...

New to me Astro.

Hello all, I recently purchased a 97 astro base model with 210000 km on it for $3000. Thanks to this site I have fixed the vent selector vacuum line and greased up the slider. Looking forward to attempting the spark plugs. I plan on painting the rims, and touching up the black between the windows. S...
