Re: Phantom Rebel V8 Swap

New intake manifold is installed and got it out of the shop for the final timing work on it. I'm finally done with the mechanical part of it anyway, also installed my new set of LED lights. OH and forgot to mention that i finally got to the bottom of my running rich problem. Remember the AirAid from...

Glad you did the lift. i have done a 2" on mine a never regret that i did. mind you it is a 2wd, but it is so easy to work under the van now.

Congrats on your upgrade

Re: best tranny for heavy hauling

i don't think that trailer had any Electric brakes on it, even though my van is equipped for it, but only for a 2 axles not 3 and this is going to be kind of a one time use. just haul it to where i want to live and that is it.

Re: best tranny for heavy hauling

You may have the power to pull that much weight with your V8, but the 6500 pounds is way to much weight to put behind an AstroSafari. You will probly get the load moving, but keeping it under control, and getting it it stop safely, is gonne be kinda sketchy with that much weight behind a (short) ve...

Re: Astro Van 93 2wd to 4x4 conversion ...

it has been bugging me for a while since i have put my van back on the road, it would be a nice project, it is do-able, but it would be intensive. i think i will go with plane B. Get an AWD astro and slap a 4x4 system on there. no need to put a v8 in it anyway as it will be a winter driving van. No ...

Astro Van 93 2wd to 4x4 conversion ...

Well after all this time, my van is running pretty good and i love the sound of my new Exhaust and all, but i'm in need of another project and i can't come up with anything else other than taking my van apart again and putting a 4x4 drivetrain in it. My question to all of you, how long would it take...

Still some minor little things that needs to be worked on and i'm currently working on it. In the mean time. Here is a recent pics of DA BEAST...

Re: Rear Sway Bar

ANy advise on those that have a lift and a Hitch? i wouldn't mind to have a rear Sway bar on my Baby. the 2" lift was a great idea to work on the van in the near future, but not to great when it is time to take some turn and all.

Thanks
