Re: 95 Stro AWD SES light
Update on whats going on with this 95 Astro “NO Start” at purchase, that turned nightmare. Since buying this van it has been an electrical nightmare. No SES light coming on making it impossible for finding a code, if there is any stored. Checked and replaced all bulbs within dash. Had an aftermarket...

Want to swap over 95 Astro AWD to 90 Safari AWD
Been plagued with a low miler 95 AWD Stro D.O.A.with no SES light from an auction. Have exhausted myself and others troubleshooting electrical nightmares some previous owner created. We have went through every friggin circuit with ignition spark being available, replaced fuel pump, ECM, Fuel relay, ...

Re: 95 Stro AWD SES light
All I can tell you is that your 95 van should be setup just like your old 90 van. They are both OBD1 vehicles with the same ALDL connecter and codes. You will have an SES (or an engine symbol, check engine), ABS, Airbag and Bake idiot lights come on with the key turned on. If your SES light is in y...

Re: 95 Stro AWD SES light
Thanks for taking time to post the info dude, but it wasn't what I'm looking for by no means. Need to determine "How my SES light which I'm assuming is located on my Brake light displays when you turn the key on". Does it flash once, twice or seven times like mine is doing? My older 90 mod...

Re: 95 Stro AWD 2dirt cheap from auction with UNGO Clarion Alarm
Well after finding the proper model of UNGO a manual was downloaded and this problem was all figured out but we still have no start. Checked fuel pump pressure @65 psi, checked relays under engine hood compartment, followed fuels wires back to tank finding others have been troubleshooting this syste...

Re: 95 Stro AWD 2dirt cheap from auction with UNGO Clarion Alarm
Thanks Crash for the useful info you provided. Worked like a charm but the bugger won't start. Changed cap, rotor and wires due to ugly amber looking spark. Lots of blue in my spark but this truck just won't start. Going into hi mode testing tomorrow's another day.

Re: what size is your nuts?
Usually GM uses 36mm on those front hub nuts, that's what my 95 & 97 Blazers used. And I remember some people on here using the S10 axle shafts too so probably right. Go to Autozone and see if you can rent one, I believe they rent the socket for the front axles. I found out they rented them aft...

what size is your nuts?
LoL, can someone give me the size of nuts holding the 90 AWD front axle shafts and bearings in place? Needs to be metric obviously, have every standard size up to 2". My guess would be maybe a 38mm. Any one with an answer would be helpful in me buying the right one tonight and not need to make ...

Re: TPS on 90 safari with Model 220 TB
Update to issues with another question. Engine still pulsates on take only, and will really hesitate , pulsate the gas, and sometimes stall going reverse. Once cruising down the road shes a purring. My IAC appears to be toast, no 40-80 ohms between A&B, C&D, now I have another fairly new one...

Re: TPS on 90 safari with Model 220 TB
Thanks for all the pointers there guys. Done deal with R&R TB, changed Base Gasket, TPS, and IAC. Back to normal idle but getting this sort of pulsating, then flat spot, with fluctuations in my oil pressure gauge now. My IAC was checked for proper adjustment as per Haynes manual. But just realiz...

Re: TPS on 90 safari with Model 220 TB
Thanks for the pointers Mike. Now if I'm getting no reading at all with the blue and black I'm assuming the TPS is NFG.??? Am I misunderstanding the procedure to check here, found 5.5-6.3V at the grey and black, am I supposed to move the throttle to get a reading off blue and black even if I don't g...
