TPS on 90 safari with Model 220 TB
Been having lots of problems getting my van to idle properly. Went in with meter and checked TPS first this time around because I changed the EGR last round as well as IAC. These changes helped but overlooked checking TPS at that time. Now I'm getting 5.5-6.2 V when checking grey(+) and Black neg., ...

wiper motor/switch
Been having problems with my 90 SAFARI wiper switch for the front windshield for too long and getting anxiety from it at times. Just about gives me road rage when it won't turn off, LOL. Changed the module out with a couple different "Used" and no change. Has anyone ever removed the steeri...

Have you checked the wiring harness within the door jam? Had the same problem with my passenger window. Replaced the motor from NAPA(@40) still the same and I did check wires first. dug deeper into the door jam harness and sure as hell there was 2 wires bared inside the jam. What a deal that was fix...

Update to persistant Problem.....???
Well the idle issue has me stumped . Had some change after replacing EGR, PCV, IAC, fixed leaky hoses etc., and this week it has worsened. The idle is intermittent up and down at times , usually up. When driving at around 49-52 km/hr the motor kinda pulses as if an injector problem , but they seem t...

Thanks for the advice Safarirob. Was just looking at a wire diagram from autozone and its much easier to interpret than my crappy manual. You are most likely correct that the driver side powers the passenger side motor from the switch according to the schematic. Tried the switch from the passenger s...

My 90 safari passenger side window is not working . First the switch from driver side to power passenger window fell apart. The window was slow for some time and figured it was time to replace. Did the bull crap job of replacing motor for $60 bucks out the door at Lordco and still doesn't work from ...

Have steel springs and airbags on my Safari(Has Been)AWD . Rides pretty rough running empty , but if you put a load on her it smooths out . Probably would be better with real rubber instead of low profile crap . Have some 235/75/15's going on real soon . Van came with this set up . Had to replace on...

I wouldn't even bother taking it apart. I've seen several given away. They can be had for very little at a salvage yard, or if you want a real cool van, stick a 2 speed case in it like mine and several others around here. This idear really strikes me as good to go but what happens with no front loc...

So the diagnosos was that the transfer case caused the diferential failure ? I just had a similar failure so I am intersted in this topic I believe this is what happened to the '91 that I have now. The case was locked, and the front end was shot (if I remember right, I may have this mixed up) when ...

In speaking of vacuum leaks could be possible and will dig deeper and look for such . Did have some weird noise sometime ago going down the highway , it kinda sounded like my van was running a blower . Some sort of whistle came for a short time then disappeared , shortly after had this problem of ex...
