Hey guys, Thanks for all the info. I was out of town for a couple of weeks, my apologies for letting the thread fall. After replacing the ignition control modal, I went through a replaced each plug and wire, and while testing the plugs for spark in my under lit car port, my fiance noticed some archi...

Re: 2000 Astro will not start..
Thanks guys, I checked the fuel pressure and it is sitting at 55psi. I got to plug 6 and it seems to be sparking quite strongly, the old one looked good and still had a 60 thou gap. I replaced it none the less, and plan to replace the others. But if I am getting spark even if only at that one plug w...

Re: Astro/Safari vs. 4runner?
Hey T. Low
I am considering upgrading my tires and suspension to be similar to your own. On account of your ride is so rad. But I am currently getting just under 20 mpg highway and 16-17 city, and I was wondering what mileage you might get with your set up.
thanks.

Re: Improve gas mileage
Hey ya'll, So i currently have stock tires and suspension and driving around down I get between 16 and 17 mpg, but on road trips driving around the Rockies at 85 mph I usually get between 19 and 20 mpg, and that is with a lot of extra weight, four people and a roof box, I generally drive pretty aggr...

Re: IT Astro Build
So I am mostly done with the interior. I still have to figure out some propane issues, build a cabinet to house the fridge, design some auxilery power system and remake my curtains. But, I've been calling this home for the last month, with relative ease, and will hopefully get a few more months in b...

Re: IT Astro Build
The crates are 14 cubed i think. the bed is 45" wide. Its plenty of room for one, and enough for the lady friend and I.
I'll post pics next week. I've working my ass off the last 2 months and stocked to be finishing it up.
cheers,

Re: IT Astro Build
hey thanks for the insight.
I have put it between the seats for now. It didn't really fit there either, but I switched the driver and passenger seats to get the arm rest and adjustment levers out if the way. Seems to have worked, I now have a very tight fit.
Thanks!

Re: Camperizing an Astro/Safari AWD
One more thing - fire egress. Has anyone added a mechanical rear hatch interior release for a Dutch door M/L van? If fire starts in the middle of the night, I have had a hammer nearby to shatter a tempered glass side window. It would be nice to have a bail out ring to open the rear hatch in a, uh, ...

Re: Hello from Denver
Oh man. It looks so much better than my rusty 2000. How does the bed work? Welcome to the forum. The Bed is just a 4" memory foam that I leave made and roll up. It fits behind the the back seat, and actually make it a lot easier the take the seat out. Planning to make a folding bed/ Bench. Wes...
