Re: My 97 LS Astro
I like the signature, but I'm curious, what are some of the things on this long "to do list" ?

Re: Tropical Storm Fay
Ok, I'm officially tired of all this rain. It has been raining constantly for 2 days now with the exception of when the eye was passing over us early this morning. Astrogus, our roads aren't that bad yet but most of the roads are under about 1 1/2 ft of water and we've got fairly good drainage here....

Skip, this should give you an idea of what a hooptie is:

My take on the word is any ride where the work is done half ass in an effort to be cheap yet still be able to attain the look of a custom ride.

Re: Second row captians chair install. A tutorial of sorts...
Maybe take a steel bar drill holes the same with width as the seat's bolts and mount underneath. That should be plenty of surface area to not rip through. That's actually how I had planned on reinforcing it. The worse part is I've got a piece of 1'8" flat steel stock that I've had for the past...

Are you sure those washers are thick enough?God forbidd "IF" something was to happen in a wreck, but I was just curious.I seen the car seat and thought I would ask.... Well, having not done any testing, I'm not certain as to what "thick enough" would be. However they are as thic...

Re: TS Fay
This is about the only thing that gets me concerned with these "lightweight" storms:

This was about 20 minutes south of me. I can deal with the heavy rain, or the wind, but tornadoes are just to darn unpredictable!

Re: BArlow Rd this weekend, then going under the knife next week
The trip was great. I will post more later, maybe tonite if I can get pics from some of the others. Now, I must get the van north of the border so it can go under the knife. Yes, I appreciate your concern, but it is only steel, plastic and rubber. I won't be watching when they cut 'er lid. Hopefull...

Re: A Little South
That was pretty cool, lots of places to visit, lots of places to put on my "must see before I die" list. I must say though, from what I saw for Florida, all they listed were beaches and such, no St. Augustine. I was a little dissapointed. I'll definitely have to check out that site l...

Re: 97 Astro power door lock issues.
not necessarily, if the contacts in the switch are worn, it can still pass power thru to the relay, enough to make it click, but not enough to hold switch in the relay closed. Another problem that it could be is the contacts inside the door lock relay are worn, and not enough power is going to the l...

Re: rear buckets,do they fit the front mounts?
The actual bases that the seats mount to are the same and should mount up no problem. But yes, the seat belt systems are different. Shouldn't be too much of a problem though because they are both over the shoulder seat belts. I believe the latches are the same.

Skip's right, you'll certainly like it here. If I had to guess, I'd say there is probably more Floridians on here, than any other state. Although Ohio might have more. In any event, we're all here to help.
