Welcome aboard PJ, (still weird) I would do all the alignment/steering part replacements before replacing the tires. I would start with the controll arm bushings. They are a real PITA to replace. But they can wear out and cause a lot of alignment issues. Then the Ball joints. You seam to have the id...

That is how I found my 94 Astro. Junkyard, no rust, almost all the glass installed (the slider was out but laying in the middle seat. Engine needed a new fuel line. She runs great. Although it did need new brakes all the way around.
