Where is the charcoal canister located? Yes you do have to tell me everything.

Also what is that big black container on top of the fuel tank? I hope that isn't it.

Good idea James. Also some Ford Escorts (diesel I think) did the same thing as James said. They were mounted on the back hatch area passenger side behind a plastic wall.

It would be a good idea to install an extra trany cooler. Even if you were not doing the V8, doing the trany cooler upgrade is recommended by most people here on the forum.

run a cleaning CD in your player till then. I had that happen on my 03 under warrenty and they changed it out. The replacement radio didn't work worth crap. Had to have it changed out as well.

I still think your Fuel lines are too small to handle that kind of volume of fuel. Even with a high flow pump you have to have lines big enough to handle the volume.

I'm with the tech. Not torquing the lug nuts down to the same amount will cause a shudder. Every time I get my vehicles back from getting the state inspection I retorque my nuts. One time I didn't and after 2 months the van started doing the shudder bug. Retorqued the nuts and after a few hard stops...

Another sign of bad u-joints will be brown dust all around the u-joint and the yoke. Most of the time they should look clean unless they have grease on them.

I have not had time to check into it anymore than using a scan tool to turn off the light. Something I did find out was if I let the van warm up 2 minutes before driving the code will not set. If I drive cold the code will set.
