Re: daylights

Ah, but then you must be a dyed-n-the-wool Republican, 'cause you know the majority of the taxpayers are ignorant! :swords: jk GM did it so that they would lessen the content proliferation, it was easier to make all of the electrical systems compliant with the Canadian standards than it was to make ...

SoCal,
It's OK. We may be freezing, but at least the ground here ain't moving around. You'd better sink a pole in Idaho, attached to a long rope... :swords:

Re: H3 Hummer

H3 is totally a Colorado. They are made in Shreveport on the same line. I remember back in '02 when I still worked at the General, we were protoing an H3 while we finished the pilot production on the Colorado. Hummer is being sold (if it hasn't already) to some Chinese Company (Shainghi Heavy Metal ...

Re: Wanna buy a house...Real cheap?

I lived in Detroit for 40 years, I finally left because GM and I couldn't see eye to eye... I went back this Thanksgiving to visit my old man and his new wife, first time in 5 years! I must say that it hasn't changed all that much, there are less crack houses now because the crackheads burned more h...

Re: Brake wobble ...

Probably a stupid question, but are you certain that the wheel bearings are properly seated and adjusted? If the bearing race is loose at all, it could be causing those symptoms you are citing... i'd bet some pretty unpredictable handling with heavy/moderate braking... It would probably get worse ov...

Re: crankcase flushes?

Thanks Smiles. I really don't like using that "fix in a can", but I swear by Seafoam if you use it according to the directions on the can. I really like to smoke out the neighborhood when I do the intake cleaning too! Something about the pyro in me, I guess.

Re: crankcase flushes?

I don't want to rock the boat, but... i used seafoam in my '98 3.8 Intrigue to bust up the sludge with 240K on it. It runs like a new motor now. It never used oil before or since, but it is gettin 2-4 MPG better than it was. it gets about 29-32 MPG now, despite the mileage and 3 trans replacements. ...

Likewise Larry. Hope it was a good one. How did you manage to get her to give you a gift certificate to O'Reilly's? That is real training! (jk Susan)

I am so over the automotive industry right now! This might be a good deal... Put in a word to the Big Guy for me, will ya? I had a catarac...

Re: ABS and brake warning stay lit

ABS Light and Brake light on - means that something is wrong with the ABS circuit. It is quite possible that when the brake work was done, either one of two things happened. ABS sensor wire was left unplugged, or ABS sensor wire was broken. Either failure would be indicated by the illuminated warnin...
