Re: Need to get new winter tires.
I speak from experience when I say that they are a great tire for the money. I have 'em on my Ranger 2WD, and I find that they are great in the snow. They are a snow tire, no denying that. They are noisy, somewhat skitterish on dry pavement, and they are DIRECTIONAL, so you can only rotate them fron...

Re: China buys GM?
China hasn't bought GM. One of the Chinese automakers has bought a $500 million dollar stake in GM, makes sense if you are a Chinese automaker. GM is the largest importer of vehicles into China, as well as one of the largest manufacturers in China. That was one thing that G. Richard "Rick"...

Re: Fuel System Woes
I had this same exact problem with an '86 Pontiac 6000 STE, hard to start when cold, but once it warmed up it ran like stink. One day it refused to start, and it was the fuel pump. In tank, first time failure for me. Drove me nuts until I figured it out.

Re: Censor me - Remove me
I will have to add my .02 cents worth as well. Having been on this forum since the day it started, I can attest to the work that was put forth by Zam, Lockdoc, Dean, hell, even Gary! I find this one of the more stimulating place s that I regularly look at. I really enjoy ALL of the opinions of ALL p...

Re: Awwwww,damm it!!!!!.
Windows are the same between power and manual. I don't believe that the regulator attachment changed from year to year. Some of the earlier vans might have a hot melt attachment vs. riveted through the sash. Either way should make no difference. Lower the window about halfway, loosen the glass guide...

Re: How to change passenger door window
Having worked as a process engineer in the door group at Fisher Body (what is that you say), I would be willing to bet that the dealer will only sell you the sash attached to the glass. I don't readily recall whether the sash is glued to the glass with hot melt, or in the later years it was attached...

I'm with ya on that one Rebel! Me thinks that a whole lot of BLAME is going to be spread around in this "Investigation" by the folks at the AG's office. Not sure, but I'm sure that BP will be found guilty of a whole lotta sins. Same could be said for the guv's watchdogs. I'm not surprised ...

Re: Gas tank capacity
Smiles, you couldn't be more correct! One of the biggest discussions we ever got into when we worked at GM was how the devil do you figure out the capacity of a tank! Gas is a relative volume, its density changes with the temperature, humidity, etc. I suspect that 5 different vans with the same tank...

Re: theftloc? what do I need to know.. ?
As long as you haven't locked either one, there will be no problem. The issue comes when you put a code in the radio and then pull the power to the unit. It will not allow the radio/unit to power up until you re-enter the lock code. Some of the theft-loc radios (mostly the earlier ones ) had a flash...

Re: Customer Service
The fact of the matter is that it doesn't! That is why when you call customer service you end up speaking to someone who speaks English with an Indian accent! :peep: And, of course, they can't really help you with your request, but will circulate your phone call around the "bull room" unti...
