Re: BB TBI??
Boring a stock 4.3, or even a 5.7 TBI unit to 2" is a bad idea. The pressed in vacuum connectors will be so shallow that they fall out. Trying to keep them in with different epoxies has been proven time and again to be a practice in futility. Aftermarket overbore companies (eXtreme FI, Morse e...

Re: Memorial Day camping in Northern NY State 2008
So, after hundreds of dollars getting my kids van ready, my pop up ready and getting the pups shots all up to date I fill up the gas tank with 620 miles worth of $4 a gallon gas to go to a campout that was picked out so a certain canadian didn't have to drive real far, My oldest son and I made our w...

Re: More details for my 350 vortec please!!.
GM Vortec heads have only eight intake manifold mounting holes. Someone could have machined the heads to accept a 12 bolt TBI manifold but that is doubtful.

Quebec actually has language laws? How about the rest of Canada? Quebec is a part of Canada right? Or are they? Oh jeez! Now you have me all mixed up! Oh, nevermind! I'm staying here where we all speak English. Or is it Spanish? Oh man! I did it again!

Re: AWD V8 swap question
Same engine I used. I bought a plug for the oil pan sensor hole. Not an issue since you will be making your own oil pan. Everything else came from the V6 minus the injectors. Just popped the V8 injectors in the V6 TBI.

Re: transfer case dilema!!
I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up yet but if you remove the front driveshaft the van WILL creep (as in roll away) if you park on any kind of incline. Regardless if you are in Park or not. If your tcase is totally toasted this may not happen but in general, this is the rule. So make sure your e...

Re: Still no fuel from injectors, no start
I missed this thread when it first came up. Bummer. I found out all about how the module and injectors while converting my CPI to TBI for the V8 swap. Had the same problem. Unfortunately for me I had just rewired the van so I didn't know where to start! Thought I had screwed something up. Glad you f...

Re: Problems Problems Problems......
Wish I could give you a great answer but I can't. Best thing at this point is call the shop that did the work and let them know what is going on. Maybe they will have some advise. At the least they will know there is a problem and be ready for ya.

Re: lift- do you really need new keys?
When I order from Dan at Overland I email him first, tell him what I want and ask him to send me a paypal invoice. Then I pay from that invoice. This way I know he is actually around and ready to work with me.

Re: Tire choices w/ 5" lift
I have used 29 and 31" Pro Comp AT tires on my van and I have been very happy with them all around and the prices are great. Under $400 shipped to me and then the cost to have them fitted that ran around $50.
