Re: lift- do you really need new keys?

You will get up to 2" with the stock keys. The new keys give you a bit more. But in the end that type of lift just just gives you a stiff ride, less articulation and severe front alignment angles.

Re: finally

I'll have to respectfully disagrea about the 305 being OK as I have one and I hate it. They just don't put out the torque needed to push these vans around. ESPECIALLY an AWD. I used it for the same reason, cheap. If it is free, go for it but you will soon want more. The plus would be that you will h...

The red X is from the "parental control" options. It keeps you out of the naughty spots. Apparently you have been going where you shouldn't have you pervert!

OMG! Glad people were not hurt. That is sad to see that the tree was chopped like that. Or the photo was part of the propose of lumbering it down? Either way glad you guys were ok. We get fined up here if we cut a tree - even if a is striked by storm we are NOT allowed to remove / cut - we are by-l...

Re: Engine Dies when breaking

Try your basic tune up things. You already replaced the EGR. There is also the PCV valve, a loose\broken vaccuum hose, spark plugs\wires\cap & rotor, cleaning up the TBI like mentioned and so on. Is your SES light on at all?

Re: Full Frame for SAS

The doors that were dented were the barn doors in my old 95 that skippy has now. In my 98, I have never had any issues with body flex. I have had mine on 3 wheels many times and occasionally balanced on just 2 and never had a problem. What are you talking about Dean? We both have the same dents fro...

Re: A Project Just Waiting To Happen....

Like Rockwerx said, these new deisels are wild. I have never owned a diesel and never really liked them. (the exhuast always makes me physically ill, bummer) But my new work truck has a 3.0 V6 turbo Mercedes deisel and this thing rocks! Not fast per say but man, anyone that knows the hills in my are...

Re: ecm

I'm kinda thinking that if all the sensors are not hooked up and operating the ECM would be setting off codes. In general, if the SES light is on the ECM goes into a limp mode. Meaning that it will run off of preset parameters and will not give full performance like it would if it was reading the se...

Awesome! Glad to hear it. You obviously know as well as me how much money you save in therapy bills by having a good pooch around.

That was the same setup I had. A Caprice roller cam 350 with the Ramjet\383 cam. Lots of torque. Died around 4500 rpm but was great down low.

I seem to have the same bug Rob. Must be going around. I went so far as to completely disassemble my 86 350 sitting here that we pulled from my buddies van. I knew it had spun a rod bearing but didn't care as I was planning a 383 roller. Kinda bummed now though. The block is not machined for the rol...
