Re: basement reno ideas

Do you have Microsoft Visio by any chance - you can do basic floor plans in it - some dimensions would also help other with your renovations. I actually look at plans all day for a living - so I might be able to assist with some more info. Also how about door and window sizes - of course your going ...

Re: Tran vs. Corvette?

I figure the Vette - you'd pretty much be seeing tail lights the entire time - I agree the 4.10's and the AWD might get you moving quicker for about a second.... but a good driver in the vette would negate even that....

Re: Trans options for Green.

I voted for the rebuild and turn in the old tranny - reason is that rebuilt SHOULD last the life of the van - so why have an extra - then again you have 2 vans... so maybe - but $600 bones for a rebuilt sounds sweet to me - and a little wrench time and install it yourself. If you have lots of storag...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Photo's - well like a dummy I didn't take any photos - and the ones on the RV Dealers website I cannot download - so you'll have to wait until it comes home - they have to fix one zipper before I can get it here. Figured buy in the off season to save money.... I'll post photos when I get it home and...

Re: Surprised by my New Tires

Last time I did research on Canadian Tire brand tires they are actually made by Goodyear - the old Nordic (now marketed as a Goodyear), Michelin - made the LTX & LTR car tires, and Uniroyal make the light truck tires - now that was a year ago I did this research but I have had good luck with &qu...

Re: Computer Oil Change/Life indicator

Thanks for the 3 times in 5 seconds - I needed to do that and the scanguage jumped to 100% So for anyone out there - it seems my van has an oil life indicator on the computer - and with a scanguage you can read that information - and to reset (as previously mentioned) turn ignition to run and press ...

Computer Oil Change/Life indicator

Okay so I have a scanguageII so I can read the computer codes and info. My question is in regards to the oil life indicator - I am about to do an oil change and wonder how the computer knows it's got brand new oil. Does it do this automatically? Do I have to reset it somehow? I guess I'll find out s...

Re: GM TSBs

Do you have a library card - or access to someone in your house with one - chances are your public library will have an online component that has access to TSB's - I know mine does. I did a quick search at my library but I cannot search by TSB # - rather have to search by year, model, vehicle system.

Re: effected by honda 'respect the van' commercials ??

I had a 78 Chev Van with the 400 V8 and wanted to paint it like the A-Team van - that commercial just brought back memories.... man did that thing move when I wanted it to. Long live the van - I just prefer my "Man Van" to the minivan's of today - especially now that gas is back to a reaso...
