Re: Hybrid RV's

I'd be more into something like a 19' Rockwood Roo 19' Rockwood Roo Or something similar - weighs in at probably around 4200lbs loaded - supposed to be 3300lbs dry weight Of course I would have a set of Firestone Airbags on the back for assistance with the added hitch weight. I agree anything larger...

Re: Mysterious plug

Yes that is the plug to my rear heat solenoid just tucked up and out of the way the one that runs to the left in the photo. The one out the top simply goes to ground

Hybrid RV's

Okay Lifted... and Firecakes... feel free to give input - how do people like Hybrid RV's and what is their general shortcomings? I am looking to get one to pull behind the Astro... probably a 19' dual axle for smooth pulling.... I like the fact they have a big fridge... and are functional for a lunc...

Re: Mysterious plug

Those are the exact colour wires that I have that are supposed to go to the rear heat solenoid. So that is my guess at what it is. I have some photos on flickr that show the location of that solenoid on my van. I'll post them up again as links below. Overview Photo A/C dryer Solenoid Close Up Soleno...

Re: Mysterious plug

That almost looks like the plug that could go to the rear heat solenoid valve - when that valve goes south all you have to do is unplug it and the water flows to the rear heater coil (mine did and then I moved the wire to above the A/C condenser/evaporator). I'll take a look tonight on my 2001 and s...

Re: Removing / Mounting tires

Removing just lower the air pressure - find some good ruts and voila - removed - to install just grab a can of ether... not smart but effective butane will work in a pinch as will propane... LOL :poke:

Re: I want another van and it's not made by GM.

Ford never "owned" Willy's - the problem was - Willy/Bantam created a vehicle that met the US military's specs. but could not produce enough of them - hence Ford was allowed to produce them also under some sort of war act- but I have to admit Ford's later vans sure looks like siblings of t...

Re: I want another van and it's not made by GM.

It could have actually been produced by Ford (oh the f word.... but these were good Fords - M38 etc) - but all the same goodies as a Willy's... in the war they actuall...
