Re: Differential Cover -- Newbie Question

Ya - C-Tires parts people are quite often clueless - probably summer student or something - try Parts Source - heck Napa (or other auto stores) if nothing else should be able to get it.

Re: Differential Cover -- Newbie Question

You should be able to get a chrome one from "Newfie Speed and Sport" AKA Canadian Tire, or their Parts Soucre Stores. All they should need is the make/model/year and they should be able to get it right. I had a friend who got a new diff cover for his Camaro there and it was no problems, no...

Re: Rear Amp Upgrade and Stock Amp Location

91 I post photos - but they are links - see the first post - I'll try to do a collection soon enough and post them all with the ins and outs... not like I have real system but I bet for what MOST of us do with these vans; what I have is exactly what people want - all hidden, doesn't take up any room...

Re: Best camping story

Mine is not all that bad - just a bunch of dumb as ses disrupting things - for a while.... So story goes a nice small back-country campground in BC - provincial campground - with no services, bush road access, and only 2 sites, on a small mountain lake, great site, lots of sun. Go there and take the...

Re: Correct Tranny Cooler

I just bought a Tru-Cool transmission cooler P/N 4589. This cooler is rated at 24,000 GVW, from the good folk at Oregon Performance Transmission yesterday. It needs to get shipped, delayed at the border, all that jazz until I see it. Hopefully in a couple of weeks! LOL Ebay Item# 170131205258. I pri...

Re: Steering Issues

The brand I got are "TRW" - they seem to be all over in Canada - probably becuase Canadian Tire and the Partsource (owned by Canadain Tire) supply them. Not sure if you'll find them - but if I was in the US I would have ordered a set from Rockauto and had them shipped - shipping to Canada ...

Re: Steering Issues

I had photos and I did mean to post them but my computer crashed and I wiped it clean and did a clean build. So for some reason I did not save the photos - or I have misplaced them.... If I find them I will post - kinda makes me mad - I had the best of intentions...

Re: LATCH - baby seat anchors

I can just use the seat belt - but the latch system is slick - cops here in Alberta will fine you big time if you don't have the seats in correctly - either LATCH or seat belt - you cannot use the latch system if you are not equipped with it - otherwise HUGE fine.... so that is why my inquiry - my M...

LATCH - baby seat anchors

So does anyone have a newer van equipped with the "Latch" system. LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. My 2001 is not equipped with it, however I am wondering if it would be a simple go to the junk-yard find the parts and install on my older van. So what I am asking is ...

Re: SPICER VS MOOG

I was told somewhere.... and no I don't remember - that the expensive Spicer Idlers are actually BETTER than the top end MOOG's? Rockauto has example photo's of them and the Spicers look heavier duty. Just asking.... I used TRW's last time I did a replacement - up in Canada eh - but also life time w...

Re: Stupid O2 Sensor on the Mazda

Don`t use an impact gun on a o2 sensor - if you cannot remove it with a snipe (3`pipe) and some muscle you have bigger problems - seriously - take it easy and get that thing out - if you cannot take it to a shop - let them screw the car - at least it will bo on their tab to fix it - or it should be ...
