Re: Upgrading electrical questions.

I want to be able to add solar panels to recharge the batteries, I will be using closed cell bats that require no venting. a bit more expensive but a lot safer and easier to install I think.

I just need a way to maintain battery levels, and charge levels and stuff..maybe I should ask in a RV forum.

Re: Upgrading electrical questions.

Thanks for the great replies. quick question about the voltmeter for monitoring battery. This will allow me to monitor how many hours of charge is left in the battery? for when I should charge etc? in my mind I was picturing the meter would read a percentage of charge. however the voltmeters on eBay...

Upgrading electrical questions.

Hello, I have a 94 awd with rear ac/heat. I will do the 'big 3' upgrade, I plan to replace the wires. I will be upgrading the alternator with a High output model. I will install a second battery. and upgrade both to deep cell. ---- In the future I want to add devices such as audio amps, off road lig...

Re: Know a good lift shop in Denver Colorado area?

11 inches will be fine. I have to wrap my mind around the fact this aint my jeep lol, I would rather put the money into other areas of the van. instead of chasing "style" previous post I guess was just a brain fart.

Re: Know a good lift shop in Denver Colorado area?

Nice threads, nice van :) I think I see why I consider all the van tires to be narrow (not as narrow as your sale thread tires) but generally van tires do not extend out wide from the body.... It is because of the sliding door huh kinda limits tire width? wonder how hard ti would be to gullwing the ...

Re: Know a good lift shop in Denver Colorado area?

your Spb looks great (from the sale theread). but for 15k I think Ill tow a 4 wheeler, if I need to go farther than the van can get me on awd. at least at this stage of the game. the 1k price tag of the OLV kit is about my max range for any 1 upgrade I think. One thing I noticed about the SPB was th...

Re: Know a good lift shop in Denver Colorado area?

Might be your van that made me decide 4"was enough.
have a link to your pictures? or is there a way to see them from your profile or something? looked around some and didnt see anything. if they are just scattered in posts, then im sure I already saw them :) been reading like a mad man.

Re: Know a good lift shop in Denver Colorado area?

Thanks for the great advice. I was thinking about 6" and 33 simply because of a previous jeep build. I think after looking at some pics here id be happy with a 4" on the van. I don't need the show factor at all. I do want more ground clearance, but I do not want to sacrifice performance, n...

Just bought a 94 astro awd to play in the mountains with. It needs new seats, or re upholstered and has some dents in various areas, I may or may not eventually deal with. The steering wheel is off center when driving, alignment is good its just steering wheel if not center. not a big deal but kinda...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?

Purchased it today :)

1994 awd astro, 200k miles. Cold front/rear ac. kinda worried about the high miles, but for a cheap van to take up in the mountains, I think it will serve my needs.
