C&O Canal Bike Ride to Harpers Ferry WV

Here's a couple of pics from last April of the Potomac River in spring taken from the towpath of the C&O Canal in Maryland . http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd32/kayaker29/P4270130.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd32/kayaker29/P4270028.jpg http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd32/kayak...

Re: Don't Let This Happen To You...

It looked like the wind blew this one partially over. Crazy you have to call the govt to get a tree cut down and pay them too...
On a side note my AWD astro dragged about a 50 foot section of this log 40 feet down the driveway to move it out of the way nuthin' to it.

Don't Let This Happen To You...

My buddy Randy has a cabin in WV on the Cacapon River. Last year in January only a week after I obtained my new to me '99 'Stro, we went up for a weekend of RNR. We noticed a nearby tree leaning badly. So we decided to take it down. We guessed it to be 80 feet tall and paced out 80 feet and figured....

Re: When you go camping.

I always sleep in the van when car camping. Everyone else has to fool around with tents. And I like to go backpacking and overnight [or two] canoe trips. Love it! Car camping is cool 'cause you can bring everything. Canoe camping and backpacking are awesome, you definitely can get away from everythi...

Re: Tire choice at stock height...

Great pics dean89,
Between my two vans I have had all but the 235/70/15's, but this is my vote if you are doing no modifications. They look good on stock vans and handle way better then 205's or 215's. The 245's I had on my '90 shorty handled awesome but for me weren't tall enough.
