Yes, the ls series motors use the same 6 bolts, but add a seventh at the top of the bellhousing. This is also the case for the duramax diesel engines.

The place that I had my tint done said that the factory tint is around 20% on the back windows. So if you put another layer of say 20% on top of the factory tint, you would end up with about 4%, which is considered limo tint. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the comments guys, I am glad to be able to do some cool stuff to my brothers truck while he is gone, it has been a fun learning experience. I have never used a welder before this summer, the same goes for the bodywork. I hope to do more on the van and my truck, when the finances permit it.

Another update, I have been working on the interior, upgraded to bonneville bucket seats and changed most of the interior to black. I got the door handles and antenna holes shaved.
