Re: alternator vs ac compressor...

Ok thanks. I have 24,000wrms. Wanted to run the 2 extra alt purely for the audio, so it doesn't slow me down and put extra load on when the system isn't in use. They are 350A units each, 2 of them. Luckily i have over 35000CCA of short circuit current available with the Powermaster batterys i'm usin...

Re: Possible fuel pump failure?

Another update. I think the Fuel pump is already dead. The vans moved probably 20 miles since i changed the pump. Since i am working on it as a project its been taken off the road, its not road tax'd I'm guessing its down to the pump being cheap knock off i bought from ebay... Ok ok.. so its one of ...

Re: Reverting suspension

I wouldnt see why you couldnt install the airide on the flip kit. Air ride replaces shocks and acts as a second "spring". The flip kit just puts the axle on top of the leaf instead of under it. Still have that low look but able to tow heavy stuff or keep your rear up with wieght. now you ...

Re: Reverting suspension

Yes, thats what i'm wanting to do. I want to remove the flipkit. 1) not sure how, i.e. what components need to be removed 2) what replacement items i would need I've seen many astros with similar weight, and they all end up sitting on the bumpstops on stock rear suspension, hence why i bought the ai...

Re: Possible fuel pump failure?

Update. I fitted the new fuel pump today. Was pretty easy. The needle was showing 1/2 a tank, we got 40-45ltrs syphoned out into my brothers VW Corrado. Took us 4hours (we rummaged around on the floor with jack stands no ramp!) with a 30min break for lunch. She runs smoother, so i guess the pump was...
