Re: Windows AGAIN

Vans back and 2 wires were semi severed. Cost $70 and I'm back in the saddle. Evan dropped off my door card to my upholstery shop to fix the dreaded arm rest tear.

Re: Windows AGAIN

Thanks guys, Had to give up on it and hand it to dealer. I'm pretty sure you all nailed it with a bad wire. I think a big clue to me is, the window hasn't been able to roll up or down when the door is open. So, I think there is a broken wire in the hose connector on the jam. I have rewired 2 British...

Re: Windows AGAIN

Do you know what the voltage should be on the yellow wire from the fuse panel with a car equipped with a body computer?

Re: Windows AGAIN

Driver or Passenger side window? BOTH When you put 12v to the blu and bro wires, do you have those wires DISconnected from the switches? YES Then I tested the wires to the motor In the switch resting position, both wires go to ground. If you were to put 12v to that, you'd surely know about it ASAP....

More Mirrors.

This might seem like a unreasonable question. The mirrors on a Silverado pick up look like the same connection to the door as the Astro. Is there a difference?

Re: Signal Mirror Install

Got them back and installed the drivers side. They work great. I just wish they were closer to stock size.
Another thing, they don't swing toward the window. They are a fixed mirror.

Re: Signal Mirror Install

Went to install them today and it turns out my van is a 2002, but, it has an earlier electric mirror connection. Has them baffled at Street Scene New mirror http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o316/donkelly23/DSCF4264.jpg Factory mirror http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o316/donkelly23/DSCF4265.jpg

Re: Signal Mirror Install

Did end up getting them from Summit Racing.
The guy I contacted at Street Scene boxed up a set and sent them on to Summit for me.
I am a little disappointed that the new ones a a good 15% smaller than stock.
Will post after they are installed

Been in e mail contact with Street Scene. They are back to speed with the mirrors. May I suggest Summit Racing as a vender. Decent prices.
