If nothing else get a cheap engine drop it in the van an use it for trade or sale it out right. Getin something for it is better than the $50 you get for it from a j/y right now. =/

Re: EPIPHANY!!!! Need some advice, thoughts etc.
Yes, I found out after some more research on the net that the "Vortec" heads you buy for the older blocks are different then what I have. On the upside I have found several rebuildable 6.0 LS engines for under $500 so I will probebly go that route with the Truck. Thanks for the info though...

Re: Will this engine fit into our Astro's?
Ya this has to be an experimental car as they never offered the 4.3 in any car only trucks and vans. I always thought that if you had to get a v6 in a camero I would want a 4.3 prefer a supercharged version ala Typhon style.

Re: EPIPHANY!!!! Need some advice, thoughts etc.
Yes reuse the everything BUT the short block. I know the sell "Vortec" heads for older engines like mine but what I dont know is if the 4.8/5.3 family of heads is what they use. and if there is a differnce in bolt patterns on the tranny that stops the project right off, unless it is only o...

Re: EPIPHANY!!!! Need some advice, thoughts etc.
See I was going to reuse the entire top half of the engine, heads intake all sensors etc. the PC needs to be flashed to make it reconize the extra cubes and HP. My biggest question is, will an LS based tranny bolt to an older block. Well 3 probelms really, will the tranny bolt, makeing a serpentine ...

Re: Grand National Turbo 6
I agree, it is possiable but imo you would be better off buying a clean Buick body rebuilding the T-type motor and putting it in the Buick. Then selling said Buick as a GN clone useing money to turbo a 4.3 and droping it in your van a la Typhone style!! Least thats what I'd do. =)
