No Power steering or brakes

Hi all, Its been a while since I logged into these forums, being as I am based in England I tend to use the ASUK forums. Anyways Today as I was leaving the supermarket parking lot I lost all power assistance to the steering as I negotiated a intersection, I paniced and hit the brakes as I was headin...

Re: Van of the month - nominations wanted

Congrats on being Van of The Month, Sundance. Your van is beautifully built, fer sure. The fact that you greased Justice and AstroZam with thousands in black-market currency just to be the Van of The Month is nobody's business, to be sure. You can depend on me to keep my mouth shut, 'cause that's n...

Re: What's after Safari/Astro vans???

Yep heard of Quigley, had a friend who had a G30 Chevyvan converted by them, lots of plans to customise it until some low life ripped it off one night, never to be seen again. Also Pathfinder conversions too, County did similar conversions on Ford vans & trucks. As I said not sure about who does...

Re: pic sof your other rides?

Hi from the UK, Aswell as my Astro which is my daily driver, my wife has a FIAT Multipla (fix It Again Toni !, yes we've heard most of them). It has seating for 6, removable rear seats, and front centre seat. Our one is the 16valve 1.6 liter petrol engine, with 5 speed stick shift (a 2.0 liter dies...

Re: What's after Safari/Astro vans???

OK now offence intended, lets see if I can dig myself out of this. What I meant was that from what I have been told the AWD on the transit is just that "All Wheel Drive" intended to give better road holding and grip in poor on road conditions. It is not designed to take on the likes of Toy...

Re: What's after Safari/Astro vans???

Hi from the UK, I really thought I was on a f*rd forum with all the transit talk going on. Take it from me the new transits can do just the same speeds as our astrosafaris, albeit sucking diesel rather that gasoline. I have heard talk of a 4 wheel drive version at sometime but I think it is like the...

Re: Fixing a tire on the trail.....

It was filmed in ICELAND about 10 years ago, The motorworld host is Jeremy Clarkson of BBC TV "TopGear" Show. There is a company doing Glacier Tours using 4x4 vans, Astros, Chevyvans and Econolines (even a 6x6 version). The vans are a mixture of Pathfinder, & Quigley conversions with q...
