Hi, Thanks for the info! All went well. I also did the shocks and other front axle and the hub too. Was a little easier to get the axle out with the shock and hub off first. The tranny cooler was a snap once I finally learned to shrink my hands small enough to get them in between stuff... Ha, Not!! ...

I'm using Air-Lift air bags in the rear my '01 Safari. A HUGE necessity! They mount between the spring and the frame. They let me load the van up and also tow a camper or trailer at the same time.

I need to replace the front differential in my 97 Astro.

Anyone know what all other year front diffs will bolt in and work ok?
(I'm not concerned with the ratio, I have a gear set to use in any of them.)
