It runs!!

My 1939 Chevy hs been in the working stages for a couple of years now. The 6.0 engine and 4L80E trans have been in place for over a year, awaiting time... Still have an electrical issue or two and very little oil pan clearance wit the tuck engine (need a Firebird or Camaro oil pan) but it will move ...

Re: Turn Signal Switch

Check the controller on the wiper motor before doing anything with the switch..... They have a habit of going out and making the wipers intermittant.

Love the GMC grille! It's cleaner looking than the Chevy, in my opinion....

Re: White Face Glow Gauges

I bought the "cheapie" off of an ebay vendor, and they look good. I would caution anyone to install it carefully as they can rub and impede the gauges form being accurate. Had to resposition mine, as my speedo would hardly move! The night feature looks just like the photo, no green at all ...

Re: Vietnam era Radio

Good radio! I keep my satellite radios turned to mostly to the 60's music, and even the younger guys ( under 40) I play drums with play that stuff, so everyone's appy except my bride who thinks I'm stuck in the 60's, and with music it's more 50's-60's and 70's than anything else, but Ihave a lot of ...

Re: project Fat Huh Body Mods

The SRX Sunroof has a cover that you can pull over the window to keep out the heat when you have it closed. Not only that, but I used Limo tint on the sunroof in my wife's Magnum, in addition to the cover. Helps a great deal since in that car the sunroof is only a couple of inches from my head. Work...

Re: oil filter...

If anyone thinks Fram is as good as they used to be, cut open a new filter. Now cut open a Wix , or other "premium" filter...There is no comparison, in my opinion..... I was a "FRAM GUY" for years, used them on my race cars (the high performance units) without issues, so please d...

Re: oil filter...

I always use the "long" filter for a little added oil capacity. Same thing on Carole's Hemi Magnum. With oil more is good, to a point.

Re: For Northerners Moving South

Much if what he says is true. We still say Sir and Ma'm when speaking to those older than we are, and even sometimes when they're not. We still open doors for ladies, even if we're not sure..... and we still say excuse me when we accidently bump into you at the store. If you are knocked silly and pi...

Re: What motor oil can be used in Astro van?

Synthetic oil is as good as engine protection gets for most of us. I use it in my 85,000 mile '98 Astro, my riding lawnmower, my Harley-Davidson and my wife's Hemi Magnum, even my lawn edger! Use it without reservation. Mostly it's available in 5w30-5w40 or similar, I use 5 or 10w40, or you can go b...

Leave it to a NAVY person to bust-up somebody's 'horizontal aerobics'.
True enough, a Marine would have at least offered to assist and provide guidance, even pictures!! Cheez..... ](*,)
