Re: LED TAILIGHTS,ANY GOOD?

If you want to actual check light output use candlepower, not watts. After my motorcycle accident last year, I installed an LED tailight. There is NO COMPARISON at night, with without brakes on, when riding next to a person without LED lights!! Check out the tractor trailers with and withot LED ligh...

Re: LED TAILIGHTS,ANY GOOD?

LED vs Bulb is NOT brighter. LEDs vs Bulb may be brighter. I'm a little slow, admittedly, but am I missing something here? I'll try to get you a night picture of my van lights on-brakes off, lights on-brakes on for comparison. If I can get my son's Safari over, we'll see 'em side by side. His has n...

Re: LED TAILIGHTS,ANY GOOD?

Hey normally those LEDs do not throw up a ton of light - but can someone confirm if they are indeed a heck of a lot brighter!? I mean take a photo of before and after or change just one side and pull 10' away from a wall and show us the light difference! Look at my picture, earlier in this thread! ...

Re: Windshield Wipers

Happens all the time to these. There's a circuit board on the motor that fails. Most Parts Houses stock it. Only takes a few minutes to install. Motor is probably good. :supz:

Re: My V8 safari gt

Actually, the cranks were the same as late 327s, large (for the day) journal crankshafts, while they used the small 283 bore. Early 327's were small journal while later ones were larger. I actually built a "mini" stroker for my S-10 a couple of years ago by offset grinding the crank to sma...

Re: WHO ARE WE?? - Post your ugly mug

Nice little hooch you got going there in SEA. Actually this was a pretty big rocket crater where a VC 122MM hit near our helicopter squadron in Marble Mountain, near Da Nang 1968. The photographer missed the entire crater!! He did the best he could for a Squid! He was a Corpsman.....The one I took ...

Re: My V8 safari gt

As I recall the 307's were 283's with 327 crankshafts for a longer stroke. Supposed to help power in the face of emissions...Didn't work! They were pigs of the first order and terrible with fuel economy besides! :vom:

Re: Keep on truckin-80s music for the soul

Clearence marker read to the 12 foot line, we had chickens stacked to 13 9, shot that tunnel at a hundred and ten, like gas through a funnel and eggs through a hen, took that top row of chickens off slicker than scum off a Louisiana swamp. A twelve foot underpass will make a convertible out of ever...

I have used Castrol in many cars/trucks, no issues at all. I just get a "deal" on Chevron stuff nowadays and it's as good as ANYONE'S! :supz: :prayer:

I run full synthetic in everything I own, including the riding lawnmower and H-D. Go ahead and switch and don't look back!~ Best thing you can do for your engines!

They look good in there! I was hit from behind on my Harley last year, so I'm a little sensitive about rear lights so I didn't go for the smoked look...I want mine as BRIGHT as I can get 'em (LED's) on EVERYTHING!! :supz:

Re: leaky astro

Make sure it is actualy the back doors and not the rear side windows. We chased a leak for months until I figured out it was the side windows, not the rear. Used black silicon around the molding. Can't see it and it doesn't leak anymore.
