Rear Heat
The rear heat in our 03 Safari is blowing cold, the front heat is pretty warm. Don't know where to start to find the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Odd Vibration
We changed the fluid for the second time and it came out real clean . . . no change, the shudder/vibration is still there (NOT CONSTANT just comes and goes) and even if you put the van in park, and that is with the wheels not turned to the left or right, you can still feel it in the steering wheel. ...

Re: Odd Vibration
Thanks for the replies and yes we did use the Auto Trac II Fluid. It was approx. 25,000 miles between times we did the flush, but seems like we should do it again.

Odd Vibration
On our AWD '03 Safari, when we are in tight corners in a plaza, the van will give off a vibration that you can feel, even in the steering. Changed the rear end and transfer case fluid but that didn't work this time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Just wanted to make sure. After having 4 x 4s this is our first time to own an AWD.

Tire Size Swap
We blew a tire on our '03 Safari AWD, the tire size 215/70/16 and cannot seem to get a good enough one to match it up . . . BUT we have a set of 225/70/16 brand new. We have heard it said we should not go up a size as it might cause damage to the trans. What is the consensus ? ?

Re: Hello from Ontario Canada
Thanks all for the welcome. We are close to Mount Forest (approx. one hour north of Kitchener).
Gas Gauge
The gas gauge on our '99 Astro has never worked since we owned it but would sure like to get it working. It reads full all the time (except, of course, when the key is turned off, it then goes to empty). Would this likely be the sending unit? Thanks

Hello from Ontario Canada
Glad to be part of the AstroSafariVans.com community. We drive a 1999 Astro, 2 wheel drive and a 2003 AWD Safari. It is interesting to read what some of you are doing with your vans. Some very helpful information on diy repairs.
