I installed one on my 88. Had the interior partially out also. I connected the ground to an existing available bolt. I ran the live lead to the front and connected it at the brake light switch under the dash. Always worked fine.

Had an 88 that I retro'd a third light on it. Got mine from a bone yard. The one I harvested had inserts in the roof and I took those also. Had to drill holes in roof and using small file make the holes square for the inserts. Took the wiring harness past the connector and the ground to the chassis....

Sadly It's Over

I traded the Astro yesterday. Owned it for 15 years and 135K miles. Too many things wrong with it and my issues (hands and knee) prevent me from working on it any more. I'm going to miss the ole girl :cry:

Hang in there Bubba - you are right "C" is a bear but work together with friends and the job will get done - BTDT after 27 years in AeroSpace and Defense I started over at 48. got 2 AS Degree's in 2 years - you can do it. =D>

pull the dog house - it is on the drivers side of engine with connection to throttle body - shape is kinda like 2 soup bowls - sorry no pic avail

BTDT - I was your age + 3 when I went back to school full time after 35years in aerospace and defense work. Too many layoffs. Killer financially but it was worth it. Hang in there Bubba. =D> =D> =D>

Started van up - first time in 2 weeks - winter break is over - getting ready to go back to work on Monday. :yikes:

Wife works 2 weeks and reties 1/15/10 :bounce:

I didn't think WD40 was conductive but may be wrong - you can buy new fan motor from Parts houses or RockAuto for $22 or less. hardly worth messing with. Gotta replace mine too - totally dead.

Loaded up my wife and 4 of my kids in my wife's van and headed down to the beach for a sunset wedding...it was awesome. The sky was crystal clear and the temps were in the 70's...I love living in Florida! LOL - the last "Sunset Wedding" I went to was at Ft Desoto - getting ready for a stor...
