Possible Ground Issue?

Krank, I didn't see anything back there. That would so be something that would happen to me though, I had to chuckle when I read it!

Something else to check that is a problem area on this year of van is the power distribution block that is directly behind the battery. Main power feed in & 4 power wires out in a 4 pin connector. I have seen the terminals in that connector melt & cause issue like what you describe.
