I also swapped over to Hydro-Boost from a `93 when I did my 11inch rear drum upgrade on my `86.

Stopped in at AdvanceAuto and compared the stock 2WD Astro rotor to the 91 C-1500 2WD, the Astro rotor is about 1/2" large in diameter. No cheap upgrade there, but now I'm wondering about the Impala rotors. I mean those did come with 17" wheels, so maybe they have larger brakes.

Keep in mind that the 2WD Astro rotor has the gear teeth machined into them for the ABS sensor (at least the 92 Astro does).

Yeah, I'm definitely watching for ABS exciter rings.

I have a 92 3/4 2wd p/up sitting for parts will the calibers mount right up on a 99 2wd astro? Where is the 11in drums coming from the 3/4 also? can I also use those off the same truck w/o complications? Thanks for your help..sounds like a good upgrade..

I don't know about the pickup brakes. The brakes that are a direct bolt on come from GM's fullsize cars such as Caprice & Buick Roadmaster. Everything from the backing plate and all of the brake hardware will work. Check the pickup brakes. You might be on to something. \:D/
