Suggest a computer user help section

Post by GEJ »

Got me thinking again after a chat rm talk last night. This whole site is about computer use and it's members are not all computer knowledge knowing.Wouldn't it be great to have a mod who knows a lot about computers teach us all more about computers and their use for the betterment of the use of this site.Just a thought.

Thanks For your time,

Gary

Gary what do you want a "Superstore" site where you can do one stop shopping. #-o .
I like the addition of the camping section to the forum but if we keep adding all these other sections then we will lose what we are originally here for. There are many forums and sites that help with computers and all. We are primarily a van site. Like I said the camping part is super since many people camp in their vans or use their vans for camping so it is related. I don't see how a computer help section would be related at all. This is just my thoughts.
Gearing up for another great camping season :) Camper is re packed and ready to roll.

What about a sub-board of the general for computer support?

Thats one place where I could help others as they have helped me with my van!

Folks can always ask a question in the O.T forum about their computer problems, thats why we have the O.T .

There are literally hundreds of topics members may be interested in and if we made new forums or sub-forums for all of them we would soon lose the reason for this Site in the 1st place.

Gary, when you get done your move and hooked back up,check out the link I gave you earlier.

My computer just started to shut itself off suddenly this morning. Then I lose everything I'm typing. (I type with one or two fingers) I have so little time for it as it is...Now THIS!
Turns out, my battery is totally crapped. So ok, remove the battery & it works on the power cord. Trouble is, the power cord jack is floppy so jiggle the laptop & *P00F* - gone! So frustrating. If I wait for Mr D/L to take apart my laptop & solder it I'll be old & dead.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with anything, I just needed to vent.
Sorry. Carry on.
