my 98 awd...

Post by tkic »

nothing special, just figured i'd add to the forum content a bit considering all the help this site has given me... almost 190k and it runs flawlessly. up the mountain all winter, and into the woods all summer, great truck.

I'm glad you posted. Sounds like you are really getting the most from your truck. My goal is 300,000 out of my '98. I'm at 138,000 thus far; rear end and two fuel pumps had to be changed.
I just bought a Thule box for the top of mine. I couldn't pass it up, only $20! I figure it will be needed for camping and maybe skis during snow vacations. I have the BFGs on mine too, third set. I get 50,000 miles form them. I went as big as 30". They cleared (2" Overland lift kit), but I couldn't add tire chains any longer so I went back down a size. I still don't think the chains will fit. I haven't tried yet. Thanks again for the post.

i wish mine was still that clean underneath, there is still red clay from moab last spring under everything from this winter. i should get down there with a brush though, as it's almost time for another trans oil change and fuel filter. thanks for the comments, i'll check out your light bar post.

Rough tires and deleted center caps is a cool look. Hellas are hella cool, also.
