I talked to Alex tonight and he told me that he didn't pass his physical so he is currently unemployed. However he will go on another interview (with the same company) tomorrow to see if there is another position available for him. He is currently without internet and asked me to drop the AstroSafari gang a line to let you know he hasn't dropped off the face of the Earth.

Hopefully things will work out for Mr Roboto.

Oh dear, that's too bad. I hope he gets the other position. I'll say a prayer that all goes well for him. Thanks for the posting Mr Southern's report Mr tbhager.

If our schedules work out tomorrow I may meet-up with Alex. I'll let him know we are supporting him and hoping for the best.

During my conversation he brought up that his motor went out on his old Maytag dryer. As it turned out I still kept my motor from my old 45+ year old Maytag dryer (don't ask why I just collect junk). I gave him the numbers off the motor and told him if he can use it it's his.

That sucks man, been laid off twice myself. I know how that goes. I hope things don't get any worse here in MI. Hopefully you have access to a public computer and can pop in once in a while.

Alex stopped by the panel shop today where I was working. Told him that the AstroSafari gang is wishing him the best, I even told him about the paint chip comment but couldn't remember who said it (sorry dunedog). He chuckled and said it sounded like Astrozam.

Alex said the interview went well but he wasn't sure if there were any immediate openings. He said that the physical determined that he would have problems wearing a respirator which is why he was denied employment at his first job offer. That really sucks that they tested him after he accepted the offer and moved in and and they are having him jump through hoops in hopes to find another position.

Alex said something about an internet cafe about 20 minutes away so hopefully he will stop by sometime soon. As he was leaving I saw his Astro in person for the first time, he has his V8 engine in the back. He needs to review the V8 swap section more carefully, as I recall the V8 engine is suppose to go in the front. :muhaha:

Dunedog,
Alex did mention that he brought quite a few bottles up with him so he should be set for a while unless I come down to visit him. :drinkers:
