So how did I come up with my unique handle?
Well I was a dark lurker on the AS forums.......Frisket is a dog's name.....decided to make my handle on the forum Frisket but with a twist because well I am different and the likes to tease our resident blue boy who cannot understand just how sober and thoughtful I really was when I made up my forum name.

So just for Peter ... fur-ist-kit ... that is how you say my handle ... as for spelling ... frisket ... :)

There is a little bit more to it but I dont want to confused the likes of Peter anymore.

I was up for adoption when I was young. But the competition was soooo fierce. I never had a chance. The loving couple ended up choosing the gerbil instead.... :goodman:

A choice to this day they are eternally thankful that they made!!!! Image

.....a few years back,I was the pack leader of 4 dogs. :yawinkle: While walking through the dunes of outer Cape Cod ,a woman referred to the pack as "Dunedogs".

I miss everyone of those animals and that name always reminds me of how great every dog in my life has always been.

There are some good ones on here. Dunedog and ihatemybike are among my favs.

Soon after Al Gore invented the internet, I pretty much only surfed the kayak sites. But I'd go for long stretche's of time without getting on the computer, and would always forget my nickname. They'd either be my favorite paddlin moves (Sternsquirt, splat, etc) or they'd be hockey related as I play defensemen in a beer league (poke check, crosscheck). Then I started doin more research and had to log into more sites and couldn't keep em all straight si I started just using my name shortenned. Tom Lowell>T. Low. Cause when its all said and done, the internet just gets a kind of short version of me anyway. :D

Wagonmaster came pretty easy for me. When Flying helicopters in the Marine Corps we were flying formation not unlike a "Wagon Train" when we approched a landing zone. WHen the Line CHief needed Helos for a flight he'd hollar for his "Wagons" to haul the troops! After that I have been in transportation maintenance management for 30+ years handling trucks and mostly buses...More wagons! ON top of that I have always had a love for station wagons since my high school buddy had a '55 Nomad, and I've had a bunch of station wagons including tri-five Chevies including my current Magnum R/T that my wife lets me drive now and then. and then there are the Astros and other vans (6) we've had over 39 years of marriage! We've had three Astros starting with one of the first 1985's and even our two sons have or had Astro/Safaris. There such great vehicles, we love 'em. Even my fleet at work has about 100-150 or so of them!! VERY sad when they quit building them!!!!
All that makes Wagonmaster seem like a natural to me!
Too much information??

ALL of the ones we have are cargo type and we just sold one last month. It was a 1999 with a bad engine for a few hundered dollars, otherwise in great shape! I'll post it here next time, but the site is http://www.publicsurplus.com and there are always vans on the site, sometimes Astro/Safaris. There is at least one listed at this time.

Well I've always liked SS Chevy's. They made SS454 pickups, SS350 pickups(dealer installed option from what I remember) Blazer SS's Elcamino SS's, S-10SS's. But the only one that didn't make the cut was the vans. My van was a 90 Shorty, but the running gear was all 90's 1500 pickup. Just made sense to me. Astro350SS is the name of my van, and hence my screen name.

The other one that I was going to name my van was the Hurricane. That would have been if I had done a turbo 4.3 AWD. My reasoning is that they had the s10 which was the Cyclone, the Blazer wich was the Typhoon. Since the astro already came with basically the same AWD drivetrain, a turboed and tuned version would have made the "Hurricane".

BTW, my screen name on my other boards is SSRx7... guess why :supz:

Later,
Bill
