I've never done business with them--I usually get GM parts from gmpartsdirect.com and their price for the pump assembly is $323. A handling and shipping fee goes on top of that, too.
Looks like an incredible price from getgmparts.com.

The pump on my 97' went out in 2000/2001. At that time, there weren't any jobber replacements. GM charged me $700 CAN Garage price. You are one lucky SOB ](*,)

Hmmm, a pump only. That may have options, but from what I have heard, it is almost impossible to get the old pump out of the module without breaking something.

I don't think this :smurf: fits, but hey I wanted to use it. :peep:

The pump for just $30 scares me a bit. I haven't checked it out on ebay, but I'd be afraid that the $30 pump is a Chinese knock-off that will have a very short lifespan.

Actually, you can take the pump assembly apart without destroying it. If I didn't break the fuel supply line connection when I was disconnecting the lines, I would be able to put it back together. I think I'm going to order both the assembly and the rebuild kit. Guess which one Grumpy gets.

My buddy's 97 S10 had the carrier replaced, dirt simple to get apart is what we found out later. Of course we stashed it as it will be receiving a Walbro pump later.

DO NOT BUY THIS FROM THIS GUY! Global Automotive (aka Kevin Simmons) in MIami, FL is all bad news. He sells knock off parts as OEM type. I learned the hard way, posted about it everywhere on the net, including here. Buying form him cost me nearly $1000 by the time I actually had my Astro running with a fuel pump again. The @#$% even swindled me into spendin more money for shipping cost to send in the "faulty unit" a refund or exchange, neither of which I got. UGH!
If you google him, you'll find more of the same in various places.

I just spent the past hour googling him and didn't find much. The auction isn't listed as an OEM part, nor do I expect it to be at that price. Most eBayers seem happy with his products. I sent GA a message asking who the mfg is, honest reply will result in purchase. The way I see it a $30 pump for a $250 van.

I thank you for your concern. Please, wish me luck.

Finally ordered the new pump for Green from http://www.getgmparts.com. Hopefully I'll have it by Thursday so I can get it installed before the weekend.
